Why since everyone else is. I'm in my mid 20s, and program computers for a living. I rekindled my car passion about 2 years ago, and about a year and half ago learn to drive stick and bought an FR-S. Slowly doing some mods to the car, all with the hopes of being more competitive in auto cross.
Also I've been taking car repair class with the hope of doing my own work. So far all the mods to my car have been done by me and it feels good.

Maybe in a few years. Want to wait and see how the reliability of the various kits is. Also really expensive and not money I want to spend right now.

Tires & Brakes is really all you'll need to be competitive if the driving talent is there. If you want suggestions that are great for autocross but still excellent for daily driving, I would recommend Michelin Pilot Super Sports and EBC Red Stuff pads. For track only (but still useable on the street): Dunlop ZII Star Spec, Hawk HP+ pads.

More than anything I need is more seat time, but I also like to get the car to a point where its will stay the same and leave the only improvement (at least for the class I'm running) to be myself. Going to get either the ZII or the BFG rivals for next year. On top of that got a larger front sway bar, and installing koni shocks. Will be nice just from the stand point of being able to play with the setup of the car and learning how to do it correctly for when I get more adjustable stuff in the future.
